Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and the public @handle you choose. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from that provider.

Profile information. Information you add to your profile — bio, location, specialties, social links, profile and cover photos, and your palate profile.

Content you create. Restaurant reviews, scores, notes, and any photos or videos you upload. Reviews and profiles are public by design.

Location. With your permission, your device location is used to show nearby restaurants and center the map. You can revoke this in your device settings at any time.

Usage & device data. Basic analytics and diagnostic data (e.g., app version, device type, crash information) to keep the Service working and improve it.

Donations. If you donate, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.

To create and operate your account; to publish the reviews, scores, and profiles you create; to show restaurants near you; to match you with other critics by palate; to process donations; to maintain security; and to diagnose and fix problems.

We rely on trusted third parties to run the Service, and your information is handled under their privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and analytics.
• Google Maps & Places — maps and restaurant lookup.
• Stripe — donation payment processing.
• Vercel — website hosting.

We do not sell your personal information. Content you choose to publish (reviews, scores, profile) is visible to others by design. We otherwise share data only with the service providers above, or when required by law.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing liam.reckley@gmail.com. We will remove your profile and personal data, though already-published review content may be retained in anonymized form.

We use industry-standard measures (including access rules and encryption in transit) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

You can edit your profile, revoke location access in device settings, and request account deletion at any time. For privacy questions or requests, contact us below.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
